Thirty-five years after graduation, we come back to Charleston for the weekend that matters most. Homecoming, like every homecoming, is about the people — familiar faces, old stories pulled out and dusted off, and the particular satisfaction of an evening spent with the men you sweated plebe year with.
The class has reserved a room block at the Charleston Marriott on Lockwood Drive as our reunion HQ. Friday evening we gather at the Carolina Yacht Club, coordinated as ever by Gen. John LaVerne, head tour guide at . Saturday is Homecoming, and the Bulldogs take the field. Sunday we say goodbye until the next one.
Reserve your room early. The Marriott block has a hard stop, and Homecoming weekend books solid in Charleston.
Nearly half the class never left the Carolinas. The rest took The Citadel with them: to Georgia, Texas, the Bay Area, and as far as Hong Kong and the Congo.
